My Special Numbers

Hi everyone!!! My name is Casie and welcome to my blog!

Now, this post is going to help you to get to know me a little better, give you some insight into my life. I'm not going to write my biography or anything, but I'm going to use some numbers to better explain some things about me.

First is 2!

My goal in life has been, and is, to become a second grade teacher.

Both my mom and my aunt are teachers so I've been around that influence my entire life. I personally found that in my time as a student, my second grade teachers were the most memorable. My second grade year was the year I moved towns, so that year was really big for me when I was little, making all new friends. But my teacher made me feel really comfortable and helped me excel in that new classroom with new friends!

I consider myself to have two immediate family members! When I'm not at EMU, I live at home with my mom and my brother, as my parents just recently got divorced and moved away. They are the best, though, they have supported me and uplifted me through everything I've done. When I wanted to start doing plays, they encouraged me to try it all! When it came to getting my first lead role, I was met with nothing but happiness and congratulations. Or even when I went against my mom and got a Twitter, where I met my best friend, she didn't judge me, but was happy for me and asked if we could meet her! My mom and I are really close, which is really good for me because I need to be in an environment where I can be open about the things in my life.

My last reason for choosing the number two is my second best friend anniversary with the greatest person in the world: Emily! She is the best thing to happen to me. Emily helps me through all my problems, is there when I need to rant, and just all around amazing. Just recently on the 21st of September was our two year anniversary and we just Skyped all night after classes. But I’ll tell you more about her with my next number!

Second is 646!
This number is the number of miles away our homes are from each other. Emily and I first met from a twitter fandom at the beginning of my junior year of high school. We are both huge fans of a band, and so we were super active on our fan accounts, and began to interact with one another, helping with various band related things. Now two years later, we still try to make time for each other to Skype at least once a week to keep our friendship strong, however, we will always be texting regardless. Emily and I first met in person when my school band took a trip to New York City, and Emily and I met up in the downtown Disney store for the first time!

The next time was that summer after my junior year when my mom and I took multiple trips for concerts and met Emily on the way home from our last one!

Most recently, though, Emily and I saw each other this last summer for a whole weekend, and we went to the aquarium together where we saw hippos and penguins and stingray!

All in all, Emily is just the best friend I could possibly ask for, and I really miss her when I’m away, but hopefully this coming summer we can hang out again for longer than a two day span.

Third is 3,3,5,6!

Now I do understand that this isn't just one number, but it was so hard to choose! Since coming to EMU I have met so many great people and the decision on who to include was too difficult between them, so I decided I'd just include them all!

The first people I would like to mention are my roommate, Mary, and my suite mate, Lauren! They are so much fun and so caring! They listen to me complain about everything and don't blink an eye at it! The other day we went to Target to buy a few things that we needed for our room (a.k.a. Mac and Cheese cups) and ended up in the Halloween section of the store because we are all so excited for the holiday, and we ended up putting on some of the costumes in the store. I was laughing so hard I cried, this is just one example of the fun we have.

The next group is my roommate Mary, and my friend Malcolm! We call ourselves CaMa^2 just because saying all our names are too long and we are lazy. Usually, we hang out during the weekends in our room and just watch old childhood TV shows like Dragon Tales, and go on long walks. Even if you leave the room for a second, though, you're bound to miss a new inside joke that'll last for decades.

Five and six kind of go together, because we usually all hang out in the big group when everyone is free, but this consists of Mary, Lauren, Malcolm, our friend Madi, and our other friend Zach! This is our main group of people that we generally hang out with. If you're with one half of the group, then generally you'll run into the other half sooner or later and just chill for the rest of the night. Two nights ago, Mary, Lauren, Madi and I went to Starbucks and just decided to walk around, and ended up running into Malcolm and Zach on the basketball court and decided to stay to watch Zach play.

Well those are all of the numbers I can come up with! I hope you enjoyed a little look into my life, and you’ll surely get to know more about me later on as this blog continues! So until next time, goodbye!!
